It is crazy how fast this year has flown by! My sweet little baby is ONE! We had to celebrate in style and fun. The boys love Thomas the Train, so we partied it up at the local park. It was a gorgeous day. We had a lot of fun and got to celebrate our little man!
He was all smiles to be outside! Love this sweet little crazy man! At first he wasnt quite sure what to do with the giant cup cake. He poked at it and checked to make sure we werent going to tell him no.
And then.....the fun began.
The funny part was that he would much rather squish the cake than eat it. I think the only tastes of the cake he got was by accident. But, he gave me the awesome smash cake pics I was hoping for (and didnt get with Xander cuz he hated the feeling of the cake) so I really cant complain. It was pretty entertaining to try to clean up at the park. We should have borrowed a power washer!
Then it was time for presents. (and a bottle). He got some really fun toys, but wasnt quite sure what to do with the wrapping and even the new toys.
Of course, big brother was more than happy to show Zane how the toys worked and to make sure that Zane only got good ones first. Aren't big brothers just the most thoughtful! ;) Zane actually really seemed to enjoy the toys more with brother helping out. And Xander was more than happy to oblige.
Still not sure about the tissue paper, but maybe it is fun to crinkle and destroy.
Xander got to play on the jungle gym with some friends of ours. He was having a blast going down the slide, so I couldnt pass up the opportunity to video his trip down the slide.
I just love these sweet little boys of mine. It is amazing how different our lives have become over this past year. It has been beyond crazy and the fun is just beginning! Happy 1st birthday Zane! We love you so much!
