Family Photo Shoot

Our sweet niece was so sweet and took some great family pictures for us.  She was such a trooper dealing with our wild boys.  She is definitely talented because with only about 20 minutes of time before complete melt downs, she got some amazing shots! Xander was so happy to be outside, so he was quite photogenic.  Zane on the other hand, was only happy if he had his bottle, which was fine for his temper, but not helpful for pics, so he was pretty unhappy when we took it away.  I absolutely love these wild boys....fits and all! For the most part, the boys were fairly similar at each of their check ups.  Xander was a little heavier and Zane was a little taller toward the end of their first year.  So fun to have them so close, and to have them so similar to each other (both in personality and physique) despite not being related by blood.  I absolutely believe they were meant to be BROTHERS!

Zane's first steps

Zane has been building up to walking for a while.  He is dang quick crawling so he wasnt super keen to start walking which is much slower.  He started with this.  **Yes he is walking on his knees.  Yes, he does it alot, but it works for now. And yes, I absolutely love his kisses he blows!

And then has slowly been working on independent steps.  We caught some of is first more stable steps. Where did my little baby go?  Time goes by far too fast.

New Swing set for the Wild Boys

As a late birthday present to Zane and an early Christmas Present to both boys, we bought a swing set for them to play with.  Both boys absolutely love to be outside, and while our backyard is far from anything grand (even the grass is dead at the moment), the boys just seem to like to be out of the house.  So I took the opportunity to take some sweet pics of my babies playing on this baby! And can I say, they absolutely love it! Xander actually likes just being outside and exploring more than playing, whether its the wall, the rocks, the BBQ grill, etc, although, he loves the swings, but Zane is our climber and has been all over this bad boy.    Anytime we open the door to take out the trash, or let out the dog, they are right on our heels and very upset when they are not allowed out.  Glad they like it so much!  

Poor Zane is teething and apparently this rope tastes good.  Gross!  Only little boys!
