So this little boy wants to be so big. He decided to sit up on his own. Its so hard to believe that he is big enough to be able to do this. He is still a little cutesy wobbly, but in a day or so, he will be a pro!

Daddy's little helper
Xander is by far a Daddy's boy. Anyone who is around him for more than a couple of minutes can tell you this is very obvious! Well, as jealous as I am, I couldnt be happier that Xander has latched on to his Daddy! I hope that they always have a strong bond and that he will look to his Daddy as his example! Eldon often speaks fondly of time spent with his Dad and brothers doing various chores and fixing the many different things that needed fixing. While much of these experiences involved work, what Eldon remembers, is spending time with his family and "learning to be a man". I couldnt hope for anything more than Eldon to be able to share these same experiences with Xander and with Zane and any other future children that may join our family. For now.... Eldon's little shadow is already trying to be....Just like Daddy!

Trouble Maker
Lets just say that we have known for a long time that we were in for it with this sweet little boy. He is very very smart, thinks in a detailed manner and is his own man to boot. He has a big personality and is not afraid to show it. Recently he figured out how to climb up on the couch making everything accessible to him in the living room (And I mean everything).
Also, just for fun, Xander was faking a temper tantrum, so I caught it on camera. If only his tantrums were mild like this, it would be no problem. He definitely knows how to throw a spunk, but this was just cracking us up. He was whining and complaining, but it was so very fake. I was impressed with how he kept it up. Silly little monkey. He likes to be mischievous any way he can!

Eldon turns the Big 3-0!
In each baby post, I always say that I cant believe how fast time has flown....Well it couldnt be more true than with our own ages as well. I swear, when I was little, it felt like time stood still. It would take forever for my birthday or Christmas to get here, or even for the school year to pass and summer to come! Now, I blink and months have passed by! So this is a big year for Eldon and I..... It is the year we turn the big 3-0! Now, for those younger than us, 30 sounds old (I know to us too!) and for those older than us, yes we realize we are still babies in the grand scheme of things. But 30 is a big milestone! My mom used to tell us she was "29 and holding" each year on her birthday, my older brother had a midlife crisis over turning 30, and my co-worker kept telling everyone that it was her 1 year anniversary of her 29th birthday (so I know we are not alone here). Honestly though, for Eldon and I, 30 just sounds old. We know it isnt old....There is so much life still in front of us, but to be around for 30 years, is quite a long time!
So because he reached this wonderful milestone, we had to celebrate the 3-0 right.... with 3 parties! Unfortunately, I did not get pics of all 3 because I was too busy enjoying the fun, but I will share the pics I did get. Just know.... we treated him right and fun was had!
The first party was with Eldon's family at Joes Crab Shack. Eldon's favorite food is seafood. p.s. this is my least favorite food and has even been known to make me sick while pregnant. So needless to say, poor Eldon does not get seafood very often, except on his birthday! Almost all (we were missing a few lovely individuals) the siblings along with a few nephews and niece came to join in the seafood fun. I do have to say that I enjoy going to Joes Crab Shack because their steak is pretty tasty and because they make the birthday person perform. Normally, this would not fly for Eldon, but he usually a good sport after eating tasty crab and lobster and shimp. So, for your viewing pleasure...... Ra Ra Re, Eldon turns 30!
Eldon's real birthday (April Fools) fell on a monday, so there wasnt much we could do, except to invite friends over for a NERDY 30 lunch in between conference sessions. I didnt get near as many pics I would like, but we had a really fun time hanging out with our dear friends.
The 3rd party was dinner with my family, and of course, that is the one I didnt take any pics at all. Not because it wasnt nice or fun, but mostly because the 3 babies keep us entertained to the point that I didnt even think about bringing out the camera :( Shame on me.
Anyway, I hope that Eldon had a wonderful set of birthday celebrations! He is very loved and I am so glad we got to celebrate him. I hope he has many many many more wonderful birthdays to celebrate!
