Our Baby Ninja

This is a bit of a family inside joke, but I will try to share.  There is a cartoon called Ninjago.

It is lego ninjas that battle this civilization of snakes.  One of the characters, the white ninja is named Zane.  Now we didnt name our son after this show, but it was the inspiration of his name.  I was watching the cartoon one Saturday (because there was nothing else on and because I am a nerd and big kid at heart) and heard the name and fell in love.  Eldon really liked it too and the name rose to the top of our favorite list.  Once our son was born, we decided that was definitely his name.

Eldon's sister Misti was coming to the hospital to visit our new arrival and was bringing her son Seth (I think he is about 4), who by the way loves the show.  When Misti told him they were going to meet Baby Zane, Seth replied....."They had a baby ninja?".  So now, our little Zane is our baby Ninja!

He is a very sweet little baby. He has a similar temperament to his big brother Xander (Thankfully!)  He is very sweet and just content to be held and loved on.  The only problem is that this sweet little guy has a milk allergy and a soy allergy (which we have discovered through trial and error and many nights of painful crying).  When he tummy is not hurting, he just happy.

Having two babies is definitely different than just one.  Xander is constantly on the go and does not want to hold still (except when his favorite movies are playing) and Zane just wants to be held and rocked!  Thankfully, Xander is a lovely dovey boy too and I can rock them both and all of are content (generally).

We just feel so very blessed to have these two little boys in our lives.  Despite the challenges that having two boys only 9 months apart will bring, it is such an incredibly sweet blessing that we never thought we would receive!
