Happy Fathers Day

I am so are grateful for the Super Heroes in my boys life.  Especially on this day, I am very grateful for Xander's Dads.  1st, Xander's birth dad.  He is very much our super hero.  He, along with Xander's birth mom loved Xander so much that they chose to place in him in our family.  This was one of the greatest days of our lives, and one of the hardest of theirs.  We are so grateful for their sacrifice and generosity that allowed us to have our son, and Xander to have our family.  Xander's birth family is very special to us, both sides, but today, we honor his birth father.

Next, on the superhero list is Eldon.  He is the most amazing father.  I always knew he would be (this was absolutely how I got my answer on whether or not he should be my husband...I picture him as the father of my children and fell even more in love!)  Eldon spends all day wrestling these two silly crazy boys, while I work.  He is very patient and loving and they love him dearly.

This year is not Eldon's first year of being Dad, that came a few years ago, but this was the first year with a child old enough to hug and snuggle and smile for Daddy to warm his heart.    I was very excited to be able to help celebrate and honor this superhero!

Of course, the boys had matching ties for church.  I couldnt resist and love this little tradition! and a few other sweet things to thank and celebrate the super hero in our home!

Happy Father's Day Eldon!  Thanks for being such a wonderful dad and amazing husband!  We love you so much!

Zane's First Foods

Zane was beyond excited to get to try real food.  He had been watching big brother for a long time and wanted to be just like him.  He loved the food, but had some difficulty swallowing.  I definitely think that more food got on his bib than in his mouth.  He absolutely loved it though.  We will have to practice though!

Zane's First Teeth

Sweet Zane has finally gotten teeth.  This poor boy does not get teeth well like his big brother.  Big fevers and sleepless nights, poor little thing.  These two little baby teeth are dang sharp and this poor little thing is biting on everything trying to help the pain.  He is a champ.  Poor sweet thing.
