Our Baby Ninja

This is a bit of a family inside joke, but I will try to share.  There is a cartoon called Ninjago.

It is lego ninjas that battle this civilization of snakes.  One of the characters, the white ninja is named Zane.  Now we didnt name our son after this show, but it was the inspiration of his name.  I was watching the cartoon one Saturday (because there was nothing else on and because I am a nerd and big kid at heart) and heard the name and fell in love.  Eldon really liked it too and the name rose to the top of our favorite list.  Once our son was born, we decided that was definitely his name.

Eldon's sister Misti was coming to the hospital to visit our new arrival and was bringing her son Seth (I think he is about 4), who by the way loves the show.  When Misti told him they were going to meet Baby Zane, Seth replied....."They had a baby ninja?".  So now, our little Zane is our baby Ninja!

He is a very sweet little baby. He has a similar temperament to his big brother Xander (Thankfully!)  He is very sweet and just content to be held and loved on.  The only problem is that this sweet little guy has a milk allergy and a soy allergy (which we have discovered through trial and error and many nights of painful crying).  When he tummy is not hurting, he just happy.

Having two babies is definitely different than just one.  Xander is constantly on the go and does not want to hold still (except when his favorite movies are playing) and Zane just wants to be held and rocked!  Thankfully, Xander is a lovely dovey boy too and I can rock them both and all of are content (generally).

We just feel so very blessed to have these two little boys in our lives.  Despite the challenges that having two boys only 9 months apart will bring, it is such an incredibly sweet blessing that we never thought we would receive!

Just because its cute

I just want this recorded because it is so stinkin cute, so dont mind my journaling post.  Early this morning, my mother in law was rocking Xander while he was sleeping away and I was feeding Zane and we were just sitting in the dark enjoying my sweet babies.  Xander and his cute little nose was snoring away.  All of a sudden he woke himself up snoring.  This made him just giggle and then he went right back to sleep.  I couldnt help but chuckle to see his sweet little sense of humor.  He is such a stinking cute little boy!

Zane Michael Larson

We so pleased to introduce our newest arrival....

ZANE MICHAEL LARSON

He was born on Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at 5:48pm.  He weighed 6 pounds and 3 ounces and was 19 inches long.

The C-section went well even though it was nothing like I was expecting.  Once they pulled that sweet little boy out of me, I was all tears.  It was so nice to be able to see him and hold him and know that he was okay and safe.

He was born with his daddy's nose and his mommy's pointed elf ears. We were incredibly surprised to see all that dark curly hair.  He seemed so very tiny, especially all bundled up, and so very sweet.

I think the nurses really enjoyed playing with all his hair as they gave him his first bath in the hospital.

We had a lot of visitors that had awaited the arrival of this sweet little peanut, but the best visitor was from big brother Xander.  He was so cute and cooed at his new little brother.  We are so incredibly lucky to be so very blessed with these precious little boys!    What a big difference from a year ago!!!!

Xander is 9 months old

9 Month Stats
Height             29.5 Inches                     90%
Weight               21.6 lbs.                      75%

It is so hard to believe how quickly time is going!  I cant believe this sweet little face has been in our lives for 9 months already!  He is such a joy to have in our family and truly brings so much life and light into our lives.  He is crawling everywhere and getting into everything! He pulls himself up onto furniture like a pro and is beginning to cruise.    It will be no time at all and he will be walking away.  He still loves chasing the dog and tries to get his tail every chance he gets.  He jabbers all the time and is really letting his personality shine through his noises.  He is quite the picky eater, but loves mac and cheese and chicken noodle (baby food, not the real thing) and really loves drinking water from a sippy cup.    He is still a very snuggly little boy (which I absolutely love) and every now and then he will come over for a quick hug and then back to play.  I just love his sweetness.

He really has a great sense of humor.  He loves to laugh, to tickle and to wrestle daddy.  He is starting to tease as well.  While he eats, he likes to bite the spoon and tug of war with it and the sippy cup.  We were having a good ol laugh together while Xander was eating one day, and he was just being absolutely adorable, so we had to take some pictures!  It is probably one of those, had to be there moments, but we loved it!

At the end of being so dang cute, we took some video and Xander gave us quite the little boy ending..... hehehe enjoy!

Happy Halloween!!!

So Xanders first Halloween didnt turn out anything like I wanted.  Xander had a cold for our ward trunk or treat so we didnt end up making it and then I was in the hospital for the actual day of Halloween so unfortunately, nothing went as planned.  Even our family outfits didnt really work out like I wanted.  (Eldon's didnt fit and Xanders only partially got made).  To just make life simpler (since nothing right now is simple), we bought a cute outfit just for Xander and did a quick photo shoot.  We just wanted the memories of our cute little chunk in costume for his first Halloween.  We will make sure next year is more fun!

Presenting the sweetest little LION you have ever seen!!!

The lion stalking his prey

ROAR!!!!!

We just love him!!!!  I could just eat him up!
